Catching a bus

How to get started

1. Find out from MAXX where to catch your bus and at what times.
2. Go to the stop. When you see your bus coming, signal your driver by raising one arm.
3. Pay your fare to the driver, and take the ticket from the machine. Exact change is appreciated but small notes can be changed.
4. When you want to get off, pull the cord or push the bell. But give your driver time to stop.

Learn the colour of your route

There is a different colour for each of the major bus routes in Auckland City. By learning the colour of your bus route, you will be able to quickly spot the right bus stops for that route - by the coloured strips on the bus shelters.
