Sandi Morrison QSM

Sandi has worked for the past 30 years with public and private sector interests to develop partnerships, projects and new services to support economic, social and cultural development. She has supported the establishment and growth of a number of community organizations including those with a focus on the visual and performing arts.

Sandi has contributed to national policy development as a Ministerial appointment to the Hillary Commission and the Council and Arts Board of Creative New Zealand / Toi Aotearoa.

In 2000, Sandi was elected to the Board of EDANZ the Economic Development Association of New Zealand and she retired as Chair in September 2007.

She was a member of the Strategy Leaders Group responsible for developing the Auckland Regional Economic Development Strategy AREDS.

Sandi is a passionate advocate for the contribution the creative and cultural sectors make to communities, cities and the maintenance of a buoyant and vibrant economy.

She is actively involved in a range of innovative regional initiatives in the arts and creative industries.

Sandi is a foundation trustee of the Arts Regional Trust ART / Te Taumata Toi-a-Iwi and The Big Idea / Te Aria Nui Charitable Trust.
