change to happen in a managed and effective way.
'Our collective Taonga: Places for people, places for nature' is the open space framework for Auckland city. It sets the direction
for the future improvement, protection, and management of Auckland's open spaces.
Transport strategies and transport policies
We have a range of
transport strategies and
transport policies that address aspects of sustainability such as connectivity,
environment, health, community and business.
The waste management plan sets a vision for the city where Auckland will become a society in which waste is treated as a resource.
The stormwater asset management plan demonstrates how Auckland city's stormwater goals and strategic targets will be achieved
through effective, sustainable management of stormwater assets.
The District plan is a legal document that helps us sustainably manage the city's natural and physical resources through land use
control.
Bylaws can be used as a tool to implement sustainability principles which may not be suitable for district plans. They affect
activities like construction, stormwater management and environmental protection.
