Strategic environment

International partnerships are closely managed by the international relations team from Auckland City Council's Economic Development Group. They operate against a backdrop of documented local, regional and national plans reflecting common alignment:

  • the Auckland City Council 10-year plan  includes the role of the Economic Development Group in enhancing the economic prosperity and international competitiveness of the city
  • the Auckland City Council Economic Development Strategy aims to create a globally and nationally connected economy
  • the Metro Project, implemented by Auckland Plus, aims to leverage international networks to increase regional business innovation and export strength.
