Ferries
Auckland City supports improved levels of service and continues to improve the wharves and terminals it owns and maintains. For example, in conjunction with the Ferry Users Group, a $3.2 million upgrade of the Matiatia terminal on Waiheke Island has been completed. Additionally, Auckland Regional Transport Network Ltd is upgrading the downtown terminal, providing another three berths, weather-protected areas, modern ticketing and real-time passenger information.
