Permit Applications
Overweight Permit
Overweight vehicles must obtain an overweight permit from
Auckland City if they wish to travel on any of the Auckland Local Authority
Roads with axle and/or weight configurations that exceed the national
guidelines.
If the applicant has an overweight permit from NZ Transport Agency
covering the Auckland City area, it is not necessary to apply for an overweight
permit from Auckland City Council to travel on the local authority roads.
However, if the applicant already has a NZ Transport Agency permit but
wishes to cross any of the bridges or tunnels within Auckland City, they must
still obtain an overbridge permit from Auckland City Council.
Overbridge Permit
All applicants must apply for an overbridge permit from
Auckland City Council to cross any structures such as bridges, tunnels etc along
the route within Auckland City.
