Market Road and Remuera Road intersection

Signalisation of Market Road and Remuera Road Intersection.

Signalised crossings will be installed at the intersection of Remuera Road and Market Road to cater for the increase in traffic and pedestrian activity at this location.

Works include kerb extensions, upgraded footpaths, new pram crossings and the installation of traffic signals and street lighting. Additionally, the traffic island on Market Road will be upgraded and new road markings including cycle boxes will be added.

During construction there will be minor disruptions to traffic flows.  However the hours of work have been restricted to minimise this impact.

Work is scheduled to begin 25 March 2008 and finish by 19 April 2008, subject to weather conditions.
