CARPARK+ Safer Parking Scheme
Police Minister Annette King launched the CARPARK+ Safer Parking Scheme on 2
October 2008.
This scheme is being piloted for 12 months by Auckland City Council, Waitakere
City and Hutt City under the guidance of the Ministry of Justice's Crime Prevention
Unit. The pilot intends to streamline the processes of application and assessment
with a view to creating a national standard at the conclusion of the 12 month period.
The manual and assessment booklets outline the standards and processes for CARPARK+
accreditation. The scheme is under development and will not be available to the
public to apply for assessment until October 2009. However, the booklets can be
used as indications of the safety standards that will form the basis of CARPARK+
accreditation requirements.
The CARPARK+ SAFER PARKING booklets are available by request, please fill in
the online form below to receive both the:
- Carpark+ safter parking carpark safety manual and
- Carpark+ safer parking assessment forms.
