Planning ahead

Image of a train at Britomart train station, Auckland. A number of traffic management related activities are being developed to complement the parking scheme. These will be trialled leading up to the Rugby World Cup and include initiatives such as park and ride from inner city car park buildings and better utilisation of bus lanes.

Getting to a game

Eden Park is well served by rail and bus services. Kingsland Station is immediately opposite the Park and buses use special stops within walking distance.

For full details of services please refer to the MAXX website.

Planning for the Rugby World Cup

To assist with the flow of circulation around the city and stadium at the time of the Rugby World Cup, we will deliver initiatives that complement parking and build on the already established parking related transport initiatives. Several work streams will be developed under the following Rugby World Cup master plan platforms:

  • parking stadium plans
  • parking management plan Image of bus.
  • integrated parking transport plan.
