Road safety initiatives fundingAuckland City Council road safety has funding available for the 08/09 financial year (starting 1 July 2008 until 30 June 2009). This is available to groups or organisations who are interested in delivering road safety initiatives in their local community. The Auckland City Council road safety coordinators are able to help facilitate and provide assistance with your projects; however, we understand that you know your community best so we encourage projects that are delivered by the community for the community. Land Transport New Zealand provides the funding as part of the CFA (Community Focused Activity) programme. This funding must be applied for directly through your local council. CFA Funding WorkshopAuckland City Council will be holding a CFA funding workshop to help groups understand the application process. It is also an opportunity to discuss ideas with other organisations and gain some practical experience in completing the application. The Auckland City Council road safety coordinators and the NZ Police will also be present to answer questions and discuss ideas. The details for the workshop are as follows:
