Tamaki Drive safety improvementsFootpath upgrade and kerb extension of Tamaki Drive between St Heliers Bay Road and Turua Street, St Heliers. The footpath along the southern side of Tamaki Drive between St Heliers Bay Road and Turua Street will be widened and upgraded. At the intersection of St Heliers Bay Road and Tamaki Drive, the kerb will be extended and the pedestrian crossing will be moved to the eastern side of the intersection. Additionally, the bus stop will be moved slightly further east. During the construction period, five parking spaces will unavailable along Tamaki Drive and for the first two weeks, the bus stop will be temporarily relocated approximately 40 metres east to the corner of Tamaki Drive and Turua Street. The hours of work have been restricted to minimise the impact on traffic flows however there may be minor disruptions. No work will be carried out over the weekends. Work is scheduled to begin 9 June 2008 and finish by 4 July 2008, subject to weather conditions. We apologise for any inconvenience during this work and thank you for your cooperation.
