Map 3 (Wolverton Street)

Taylor Street to St Georges Road intersection

This section of Wolverton Street will be widened to accommodate four traffic lanes at all times.

The widening will mainly occur on the southern side. New pedestrian refuges will be built to make it easier for people to cross the road.

The footpath width outside 73 Wolverton Street will remain the same.

The Whau Creek runs under this section of Wolverton Street. Improvements will be made to the culvert.

The intersection with St Georges Road will be widened to provide:

• a dedicated left-turn lane into St Georges Road
• two through lanes on each approach on Wolverton Street.
