A summary of Auckland City's transport plan for the CBD
A comprehensive central area access strategy for the Auckland Central
Business District (CBD) has been developed.
The strategy forms the foundations of our approach to managing competing
demands on the transport network into and within the CBD. It sets out how
Auckland City will deal with these demands, what changes to the transport system
are planned or under way and why those changes should occur.
Read this summary of the strategy and see how we're working to make access
into and within the Auckland CBD easier and safer for those travelling for both
private and business-related purposes.
The public were invited to have their say on the central area access
strategy, along with Auckland's CBD into the
future strategy from 14 March to 2 April 2004. Auckland City would like to
thank all those who submitted their ideas.
A reference copy of the full central area access strategy is
available for viewing at all Auckland
City libraries and service
centres.
