Themes of sustainability
There are many aspects to be considered if Auckland is to become a truly
sustainable city. The Local Government Act 2002 makes reference to the 'four
well-beings': social, economic, environmental, and cultural, but we need to
break these down to a larger number of distinct themes in order to define
tangible and achievable goals and targets.
