The waterfront master plan

Once Auckland City Council has purchased the key CBD waterfront areas, it will begin a planning process that will define in detail what could happen along the whole of the city's waterfront. This master plan will demonstrate how the principles of the Auckland Waterfront Vision 2040 can be delivered.

The master plan will guide development, but be flexible enough to accommodate any future needs, such as hosting the America's Cup or a possible third harbour crossing.
