Precinct planning
Precinct planning is a key outcome of the
Auckland Waterfront Vision 2040,
which will be carried out by way of a series of precinct plans. This concept
provides a proposed direction for development on Wynyard Point. It details
the preferred outcomes for the amount and location of open space, the types
of activities, the height and types of buildings and public access. The concept will inform the District Plan change that will be ready for formal
public consultation in June 2006. Concept framework
was open for feedback from 24 February to 17 March 2006. |
District Plan change
Auckland City's role is to ensure there are regulations in place that ensure
development is complementary to its location in the CBD and that provides
appropriate infrastructure.
This process involves the opportunity for the public to make submissions on the
plan change and appear at public hearings.
District plan change publicly notified - 31 May 2006.
