Disability framework for action
Back to contents
Living document
The disability framework for action is intended to be a living document that
signifies Auckland City's ongoing commitment to the disability community. In its
current form it represents a starting point for both coordinating what Auckland
City is already doing in the area of disability, and recommending some key
actions for the next three years. These recommendations should not be understood
as exhaustive. It is anticipated that, as a result of both increased awareness
amongst Auckland City officers and future monitoring of the framework, further
actions will be identified in the future.
The framework will be monitored annually through a variety of means including
audits, the annual staff survey, and Auckland city's regular residents
questionnaire City Pulse. This may lead to the adjustment of performance
indicators and budget implications on an annual basis. It is intended that the
framework be reviewed in three years time, and it is anticipated that at this
point the adjustment of goals and actions will be made.
