2.0 Strategic goal
The goal of the Community Facilities Strategy is to ensure a network of venues across the city for people to meet
and participate in the life of their communities and neighbourhoods.
Such venues may be used for leisure, arts, cultural, educational, sporting and community activities. They may also
provide accommodation for community groups and organisations.
The provision of accessible community venues contributes to the development of strong communities.
