Footpath Policy review
Auckland City Council is reviewing its current Footpath Policy. The present
Footpath Policy requires that all the city's footpaths within its geographical
boundary area (except for special areas such as Auckland's CBD, heritage, town
centres and where trees are located) have an exposed concrete aggregate surface.
The council recently sought the public's opinion on other options for footpath
surface treatments in order to make spending on footpaths go further. We are
compiling your feedback and will report the results back to the Transport and
Arts, Culture and Recreation committees on 30 May 2009.
