Orakei Basin management plan
The management plan for the Orakei Basin outlines the general intentions for the use, development, maintenance, protection and preservation of the reserve through
a series of objectives and policies.
The plan addresses the management of the water body and the park areas which adjoin the Orakei Basin and Creek, including:
- Orakei Basin East Reserve
- Orakei Basin West Reserve
- MacPherson Street Reserve
- Bonnie Brae Reserve
- Kelvin Reserve
- Meadowbank Reserve
The content of a management plan reflects the issues and characteristics of a particular place. Typically included are
objectives and policies relating to matters such as vegetation, access, buildings, leases, desired uses and protecting heritage
