<< back to contents
Objectives
There are three major objectives for this project and include:
- Profiling the members of the RBA
- Profiling the Rosebank Area as a business location
- Obtaining reliable business demographic data and information based on the
combined approach between Auckland City and the Rosebank Business
Association.
The key objective of this research is to provide the information necessary
for the Rosebank Business Association to produce a booklet or website on members
and services to market to the wider community.
The information produced is to be used by the RBA for the benefit of the
Association members themselves, local businesses, local residents, students,
community groups and other stakeholders. The purpose of collecting this
information is to provide the RBA with information that will help develop its
brand.
The economic purpose of the survey is to obtain reliable, accurate economic
data and information to use as a successful approach on other business centres
in the future. The aim is to gain specific data on questions relating to
transport, location, regulation and infrastructure issues.
The aim is to identify business location needs that can be developed as part
of the wider strategic plan to establish what the needs are of the various
industry sectors in the area. The research also aims to form part of a business
specific strategy.
The Rosebank Business Association has been selected as a representative
sample group of businesses in the area that provide Auckland City with
quantitative and qualitative information on the micro business environment. The
information contained in the Greenmount East Tamaki Business Association (GETBA)
website: http://www.getba.org.nz is being
used as a paradigm of the information required for the business templates to
facilitate the development of a member's booklet and/or website.
