Stormwater asset management plan
Key drivers for Auckland City's stormwater business are:

- achieving strategic goals - to improve the quality of life for people in
Auckland City
- economic efficiency - integrated management, monitoring, planning,
prioritising, managing risk and doing proper asset maintenance and renewal.
The stormwater asset management plan's key strategic objectives are to reduce:
- flooding
- wastewater overflows
- contaminants in stormwater.
Other important goals include improving the data collection, asset management
and planning process, as well as widening stormwater education and
consultation processes. Auckland City is also strengthening the links between its annual planning,
sustainable asset management, customer satisfaction and environmental monitoring
programmes, and monitors progress towards more sustainable stormwater
management.
