How can I get involved?
Each year we'll make sure Youth Action comes to life through a 'things to
do' list. The list includes
particular projects, activities and events to be undertaken that year: things like constructing skate parks, holding dance
events and involving young people in road safety projects.
How will we know if Youth Action is working?
After three years we'll carry out a review of Youth Action. During this time we'll check if Auckland is becoming a
First City of the Pacific for young people. The way we'll get this information is by:
- checking if all the projects we had in the 'things to do' list have happened
- getting your views through youth forums, feedback forms and discussions at your community group meetings and
schools
- getting your comments through the Auckland City Youth Action website.
We'll also be asking for your input into the projects and whether you think Auckland City is doing its best to make
Auckland the First City of the Pacific for young people. So if you see Kat and Pat (the two characters hanging out in
this policy) it means we're talking to you.
