Mt Roskill Community Board
The Mt. Roskill community is part of the amalgamated Avondale/Roskill ward, now the second largest ward in Auckland
City with a population of 76,000. It is one of the most southern communities in Auckland City, with Manukau Harbour
as its southern boundary.
The Mt. Roskill community is well endowed with sporting and recreational facilities including the Keith Hay Park,
Lynfield Recreation Centre, Mt. Roskill community library and Fickling Centre at Three Kings. Along the Manukau Harbour
foreshore is the largest area of native bush in the Auckland isthmus. This area includes Captain’s Bush and Waikowhai
Reserve, which has the only boat ramp available at all times.
