  5. Top STATE HIGHWAY 20 (SH20) WATERVIEW CONNECTION UPDATE

    That the State Highway 20 (SH20) Waterview Connection update report, dated
    28 May 2009 be received and that officers report back to the Avondale Community Board meeting in July regarding issues raised.

  6. Top NOTICE OF MOTION - STATE HIGHWAY 20 (SH20) WATERVIEW CONNECTION

    Moved: Paul Davie / Kathryn Davie

    1. That the Avondale Community Board does not endorse the current New Zealand Transport Authority (NZTA) Proposed "At grade, driven Tunnel and Cut and Cover", option for the Waterview Connection of SH20.
    2. That the Avondale Community Board endorses the "Twin Tunnel" option as previously consulted and endorsed by NZTA.
    3. That the Avondale Community Board requests the Auckland City Council Transport Committee to Endorse the "Twin Driven Tunnel" option as its preferred option for SH20 Waterview Connection.
    4. That the Avondale Community Board makes a submission on behalf of the communities it represents to NZTA that it does not endorse the current preferred NZTA option.
    5. That the Avondale Community Board requires NZTA to investigate funding options for the Twin Tunnel option for the Waterview SH20 Connection.
    6. The Avondale Community Board makes a submission to NZTA that it considers the consultation process to be invalid and requires full consultation on all options with the affected communities and stakeholders, subsequent to full investigation and prior to any commitment to a final option.

  7. Top ROSEBANK NEIGHBOURHOOD ACCESSIBILITY PLAN

    Moved: Duncan Macdonald / Noelene Raffills

    1. That the Rosebank Neighbourhood Accessibility Plan of the Transport planner, dated 9 June 2009, be received and that Melanie Alexander, Travel demand manager and TC Fung, Transport planner be thanked for their presentation.
    2. That the Avondale Community Board endorses the actions for Council from the Rosebank Neighbourhood Accessibility Plan action plan in the next year, including:
      • Development of a parking plan
      • Regional pilot project of car pooling
      • Pedestrian and bus stop improvements
      • Continued support for workplace travel plans and passenger transport services (with ARTA)
      • Continued development of school travel plans.
    3. That the Avondale Community Board supports the continued implementation of the action plan, as part of the Rosebank 2030 business precinct plan.
    4. That the Avondale Community Board supports Council's continued work and liaison with the Rosebank Business Association and businesses on implementation of business led actions.

  10. Top REQUEST FOR DISCRETIONARY FUNDING

    10.1. PRINCIPALS' SOUTH WEST CLUSTER ASSOCIATION

    Moved: Noelene Raffills / Kathryn Davie

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Principals' South West Cluster Association towards the cost of arranging a meeting for all school Principals associated with the South West Cluster Association, be received.
    2. That the Board grants $500 from its 2008/2009 discretionary fund budget to the Principals' South West Cluster Association towards the cost of arranging a meeting for all school Principals associated with the South West Cluster Association.
    3. That the Principals' South West Cluster Association be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Board following expenditure of the discretionary funding grant of $500.

    10.2. AVONDALE CHRISTIAN CENTRE

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Avondale Christian Centre towards the cost of organising a Light Party to be held at the Rosebank Primary School on 31 October 2009 from 4 pm to 8 pm, be received.
    2. That the Board grants $583 from its 2008/2009 discretionary fund budget and the balance of $717 from its 2009/2010 discretionary fund budget to the Avondale Christian Centre towards the cost of organising a Light Party to be held at the Rosebank Primary School on 31 October 2009 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
    3. That the Avondale Christian Centre be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Board following expenditure of the discretionary funding grant of $1,300.

    10.3. AVONDALE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Avondale Intermediate School towards the cost of purchasing 10 jackets and 9 pairs of shorts for the team representing New Zealand at the APCC in Fukuoka, Japan from 8 - 22 July 2009, be received.
    2. That the Board grants $774 from its 2008/2009 discretionary fund budget to the Avondale Intermediate School towards the cost of purchasing 10 jackets and 9 pairs of shorts for the team representing New Zealand at the APCC in Fukuoka, Japan from 8 - 22 July 2009.
    3. That the Avondale Intermediate School be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Board following expenditure of the discretionary funding grant of $774.

  11. Top CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED - AVONDALE COMMUNITY PRE-SCHOOL INC SOC

    That the correspondence from the Avondale Community Pre-School Incorporated Society thanking the Board for its 2008/2009 discretionary funding grant of $1,097.00 towards the cost of developing a vegetable garden, worm farm and compost station, be received.
