    That the Avondale Community Board gives permission for the residents of up to 22 house trucks to camp at Heron Park from November 20 to November 23 and at Craigavon Park from November 27 to November 30, 2009.

  6. Top NAMING OF A NEW PUBLIC ROAD OFF ROSEBANK ROAD - PAUL ARNESEN, JOHN MCKEARNEY, MARK MCKEARNEY

    That the Avondale Community Board approves "Jomac Place" as a non-duplicated name for the proposed public road at 317 to 321 Rosebank Road, Avondale, as proposed by the developer Jomac Construction Ltd.

    8.1. REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY BOARD DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - AVONDALE UNION PARISH

    1. That the Community Board discretionary funding application from the Avondale Union Parish, towards the cost of holding a Christmas Carol evening on Sunday 20 December at Rosebank Peninsula Church, 212 Rosebank Road, be received.
    2. That the Avondale Community Board grants the amount of $2,629.38 from its 2009/2010 community board discretionary fund budget to the Avondale Union Parish, towards the cost of holding a Christmas Carol evening on Sunday 20 December at Rosebank Peninsula Church, 212 Rosebank Road.
    3. That the Avondale Union Parish be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Avondale Community Board following expenditure of the Community Board discretionary funding grant of $2,629.38.

    8.2. REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY BOARD DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - TE RIRI O TE O DANCE GROUP

    1. That the Community Board discretionary funding application from the Te Riri O Te O Dance Group, towards the cost of 44 weeks hireage of the Avondale Community Hall for their Cook Island cultural group, be received.
    2. That the Avondale Community Board grants the amount of $4,048.00 from its 2009/2010 Community Board discretionary fund budget, to the Te Riri O Te O Dance Group, towards the cost of 44 weeks hireage of the Avondale Community Hall for their Cook Island cultural group.
    3. That the Te Riri O Te O Dance Group be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Avondale Community Board following expenditure of the Community Board discretionary funding grant of $4,048.00.

    8.3. REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY BOARD DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - WEST AUCKLAND COMMUNITY TOY LIBRARY

    1. That the Community Board discretionary funding application from the West Auckland Community Toy Library towards the cost of purchasing a security alarm for their building and to cover monitoring costs for a 24 month period, be received.
    2. That Avondale Community the Board grants the amount of $500.00 from its 2009/2010 Community Board discretionary fund budget, to the West Auckland Community Toy Library towards the cost of purchasing a security alarm for their building and to cover monitoring costs for a 24 month period.
    3. That the West Auckland Community Toy Library be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Avondale Community Board following expenditure of the Community Board discretionary funding grant of $500.00

    8.4. REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY BOARD DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - ROSEBANK SCHOOL TE WHANAU BI-LINGUAL UNIT

    1. That the Community Board discretionary funding application from the Rosebank School Te Whanau Bi-Lingual Unit, towards transportation costs for an event to be held 16 - 20 November 2009 at Waima, Northland, be received.
    2. That Avondale Community the Board grants the amount of $600.00 from its 2009/2010 Community Board discretionary fund budget, to the Rosebank School Te Whanau Bi-Lingual Unit, towards transportation costs for an event to be held 16 - 20 November 2009 at Waima, Northland.
    3. That the Rosebank School Te Whanau Bi-Lingual Unit be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Avondale Community Board following expenditure of the Community Board discretionary funding grant of $600.00.

    8.5. REQUEST FOR COMMUNITY BOARD DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - THE AUCKLAND ASTHMA SOCIETY INC

    That the community board discretionary funding application from the Auckland Asthma Society Inc., towards the cost of hosting a charity Golf day on November 6th 2009 at Redwood Park Golf Club. This event is to raise awareness and funds to continue free asthma education to the Auckland community, be declined.

  9. Top SLIPS DECISION REPORT

    1. That the memorandum of the SLIPs Project portfolio leader, dated
      14 October 2009, be received.
    2. That the Avondale Community Board delegates authority to the spokesperson to provide guidance and advice to the SLIPs team regarding their allocated proposals, and delegates authority to the spokesperson and Chairman of the Avondale Community Board, to be exercised together, to make additional funding decisions and approve variations to scope where a variation to a project scope is needed due to unforeseen circumstances.
    3. That the Avondale Community Board notes the pending project proposals and their status when allocating funding.
    4. That the Avondale Community Board allocates the budget of $20,017 for implementation of the Oakley Creek / Te Auaunga Walkway Signage (Stage 2 - installation) proposal.

  10. Top COMMUNITY BOARD CHRISTMAS FUNCTION

    1. That the Avondale Community Board notes that all Community Boards will hold individual Christmas functions this year (2009) and that the Auckland City Council will contribute $35 per person for elected representatives only.
    2. That Duncan Macdonald and Councillor Noelene Raffills arrange the Avondale Community Board Christmas function and advise the Board of the arrangements once finalised.

  11. Top URGENT DECISION PROCESS

    That the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, and in the absence of either, Board Member Catherine Farmer, be delegated to make urgent decisions over the 2009/2010 summer recess, with any decisions being reported to the Avondale Community Board's February 2010 meeting.

  12. Top CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT

    1. That the Avondale Community Board receive the Chairperson's report.
    2. That the Avondale Community Board approves, in principle, a trial period of up to 6 months of Discgolf, with removable baskets, in Heron Park. This is subject to terms and conditions to be approved by the Board at the next Avondale Community Board meeting on 24 November 2009.
    3. That officers prepare a report on the implications of implementing Discgolf in Heron Park, after consultation with stakeholder groups - Heron Park Advisory Group and Waterview Environment Society, and taking the management plan of Heron Park into consideration.
