  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    The minutes of the Eastern Bays Community Board meeting held on Thursday, 20 November 2008 to be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:
    "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at that meeting if-
    (a) The local authority by resolution so decides; and
    (b) The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open to the public,-
      (i) The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and
      (ii) The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a subsequent meeting."
    Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:
    "Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,-
    (a) That item may be discussed at that meeting if-
      (i) That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the local authority; and
      (ii) The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the meeting; but
    (b) no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local authority for further discussion."
  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    A period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of 5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from members.

    At the close of the agenda no requests to speak had been received.

  6. Top TAMAKI DRIVE BUS LANE MONITORING UPDATE

    Reporting on the results of extensive car and bus travel time surveys carried out to monitor the performance of the new Tamaki Drive bus lane that has been operational since October 2007.

    Recommending that the Board recognise the positive monitoring results and endorse the continued operation of the Tamaki Drive bus lane.

  7. Top MISSION BAY JAZZ AND BLUES STREETFEST 2009

    Outlining how the new owner of the Mission Bay Jazz and Blues streetfest plans to build on the improvements and deliver the event in 2009.

    Recommending that the board approves the event as proposed including the implementation of a temporary liquor ban, road closure from 4:00pm and restriction to public access to the fenced area and the application of a $10 event entry fee between the hours of 6pm-11pm.

  8. Top SMALL LOCAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (SLIPS) DECISIONS REPORT JANUARY 2009

    Attaching small local improvement project (SLIPs) proposals for consideration and decision.

    Recommending that the Board recommend which new proposals from stage 1 should proceed for vetting; allocate a spokesperson to all proposals from stage 1 that proceed to vetting and Orakei Domain Revegetation Phase1 at stage 3, and notes the operational expenditure funded projects and the new proposals information provided.

  9. Top CHAIRMAN'S REPORT

    Providing the Chairman with an opportunity to update the Board on the projects and issues he has been involved with since the last meeting.

    Recommending that the information be received.

  10. Top BOARD MEMBERS' REPORTS

    10.1. HELEN WALLACE

    Deputy chairperson Helen Wallace had nothing to report this month.

    10.2. KATE COOKE

    Attaching a report from Board member Kate Cooke dated 12 January 2009 outlining issues she has been involved in since the Board's last meeting.

    Recommending that the report be received and that the "School organic composting initiative" report prepared for the 2009 Community Board Best Practice Awards be endorsed.

    10.3. ADRIANA GUNDER

    Attaching a report from Board member Adriana Gunder dated 13 January 2009 outlining issues she has been involved in since the Board's last meeting.

    Recommending that the report be received.

    10.4. DAVID ROBERTON

    Attaching a report from Board member David Roberton dated 13 January 2009 outlining issues he has been involved in since the Board's last meeting.
