  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    The minutes of the Eastern Bays Community Board meeting held on Wednesday, 20 May 2009 to be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:
    "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at that meeting if-
    (a) The local authority by resolution so decides; and
    (b) The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open to the public,-
      (i) The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and
      (ii) The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a subsequent meeting."
    Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:
    "Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,-
    (a) That item may be discussed at that meeting if-
      (i) That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the local authority; and
      (ii) The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the meeting; but
    (b) no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local authority for further discussion."
  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    A period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of 5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from members.

    The following requests have been received to address the meeting:

    4.1. PUBLIC FORUM - ESTHER HAVER - DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATION, ST HELIERS PONY CLUB INC.

    Esther Haver wishes to speak to the Eastern Bays Community Board in support of the St Heliers Pony Club Inc's discretionary grant application. Refer to item 5.1.

    Recommending that Mrs Haver's submission be considered in conjunction with item 5.1.

    4.2. PUBLIC FORUM - CHRIS BARFOOT - DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATION, TAHUNA TOREA HONORARY RANGERS GROUP

    Chris Barfoot wishes to speak to the Eastern Bays Community Board in support of the Tahuna Torea Honorary Rangers Group's discretionary grant application. Refer to item 5.5.

    Recommending that Mr Barfoot's submission be considered in conjunction with item 5.5.

    4.3. PUBLIC FORUM - YOLANDA THORP - DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATIONS, WAIATARUA RESERVE PROTECTION SOCIETY

    Yolanda Thorp wishes to speak to the Eastern Bays Community Board in support of the Waiatarua Protection Society's discretionary grant applications. Refer to items 5.7 and 5.8.

    Recommending that Mrs Thorp's submission be considered in conjunction with items 5.7 and 5.8.

    4.4. PUBLIC FORUM - MR M TWOMEY - DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATION, ST HELIERS/GLENDOWIE RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION

    Mr Twomey wishes to speak to the Eastern Bays Community Board in support of the St Heliers/Glendowie Residents' Association's discretionary grant application. Refer to item 5.9.

    Recommending that the St Heliers/Glendowie Residents' Association's submission be considered in conjunction with item 5.9.

    4.5. PUBLIC FORUM - MARGARET STEWART AND JUNE RENWICK - DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATION, SELWYN COMMUNITY ARTS THEATRE  

    Margaret Stewart and June Renwick wish to speak to the Eastern Bays Community Board in support of the Selwyn Community Arts Theatre's discretionary grant application. Refer to item 5.4.

    Recommending that Margaret Stewart and June Renwick's submission be considered in conjunction with item 5.4.

    5.1. DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATION - ST HELIERS BAY PONY CLUB

  7. Top URGENT DECISION - SMALL LOCAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (SLIPS) - CHURCHILL PARK GATE REPLACEMENT

    Recommending that the Board approve a further Small Local Improvement Projects proposal for the supply and installation of the remaining "kissing gates" at Churchill Park. Further recommending that the Board traffic spokesperson work with the Tamaki Community Board to initiate the installation of a pedestrian in Lunn Park.
