CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
The
minutes of the Maungakiekie Community Board meeting held on Thursday,
19 November 2009 to be confirmed as a true and correct record.
EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (as amended) states: |
|
"An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at
that meeting if- |
|
(a) |
The local authority by resolution so decides; and |
|
(b) |
The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open
to the public,- |
|
|
(i) |
The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and |
|
|
(ii) |
The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a
subsequent meeting." |

Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and

"Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,- |
|
(a) |
That item may be discussed at that meeting if- |
|
|
(i) |
That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the
local authority; and |
|
|
(ii) |
The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time
when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the
meeting; but |
|
(b) |
no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of
that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local
authority for further discussion." |
PUBLIC FORUM
A
period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public
to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of
5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from
members.
The
following request has been received to address the meeting:
4.1. MONTE CECILIA PARK - ANN NICHOLSON AND PETER GIBSON, MT ROSKILL COMMUNITY SCHOOL WORKING PARTY
Ann
Nicholson and Peter Gibson from Mt Roskill Community School working party, will
be in attendance to speak to the Board regarding the development of the Monte
Cecilia Park and how the park is affecting the whole community.
ANNUAL PLAN SUBMISSION - WORKING PARTY

The Board is asked to consider
whether it wishes to make a written submission to the 2010/2011 Annual Plan
which opens for public consultation on 3 March 2010 and closes on 31 March 2010.
Recommending that the Board
nominate a working party to prepare its written submission on the Annual Plan,
noting that the Community Board will be receiving feedback from the public to
the Annual Plan at its March 2010 ordinary board meeting.

COMMUNITY BOARD DISCRETIONARY FUNDING
The
working party will be providing recommendations to the Board with regards to the
allocation of the Community Board discretionary funding.
URGENT DECISION - ELLERSLIE SANTA PARADE

Informing the Community Board of an urgent decision for the Ellerslie Santa
Parade and Street Party that was held in December 2009. An urgent decision was
required because the organiser was required to make payments before the
Christmas break and the Board did not meet until January 2010.
URGENT DECISION - PUBLIC MEETING ON PROPOSED WARD BOUNDARIES

Informing the Community Board of an urgent decision to host a public meeting on
the submission of proposed boundaries that was held 9 December 2009. An urgent
decision was required because the deadline for submissions to the Local
Government Commission was on 11 December 2009.
