CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of the Mt Roskill Community
Board held Tuesday 17 February 2009 were confirmed as a true and correct record
subject to the following amendment to item 5, Slips Decision Report as follows:
- That the Mt Roskill Community Board requests officers to provide a
breakdown of costs for future vetting projects in order for them to make an informed decision on the project.

- That the decision on the Taylor's Bay Aquatic
Play Structure be deferred until the March 2009 meeting of the board
EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS
| Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (as amended) states: |
| "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at
that meeting if- |
| (a) |
The local authority by resolution so decides; and |
| (b) |
The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open
to the public,- |
| |
(i) |
The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and |
| |
(ii) |
The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a
subsequent meeting." |
| Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and

| "Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,- |

That item may be discussed at that meeting if- |

That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the
local authority; and |

when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the

no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of
that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local

PUBLIC FORUM
A
period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public
to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of
5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from
members.
The
following requests have been received to address the meeting:
4.1. PUBLIC FORUM - DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - NASHEMUN PAK NZ WOMEN TRUST
Mrs
Ghazala Tufail and another representative from the Nashemun Pak NZ Women Trust
wish to address the board regarding their discretionary funding application.
Refer item 13 of this agenda.
4.2. PUBLIC FORUM - DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - THE GIFTED CHILDREN'S ADVANCEMENT CHARITABLE TRUST
A
representative from The Gifted Children's Advancement Charitable Trust wishes to
address the board regarding their discretionary funding application.
Refer item 14 of this agenda.
4.3. PUBLIC FORUM - DISCRETIONARY FUNDING - MAY ROAD TENNANT COMMITTEE
Ms
Jill Wheeler-Bowden from the May Road Tennant Committee wishes to address the
Board regarding their discretionary funding application.

the February 2009 Mt Roskill Community Board meeting it was resolved as follows:
That the Mt Roskill
Community Board deletes the following proposals that it does not intend to take
forward.
- Dominion and Mt Albert Road Shopping Strip Upgrade (to be replaced with
an alternative proposal)
- Dominion And Richardson Road Shopping Strip Upgrade (to be replaced with
an alternative proposal)
- Molly Green/Waikowhai /Wesley Tree Planting Survey (to be replaced with
an alternative proposal)
- Owairaka Shops Upgrade Phase 1 (to be replaced with an alternative
proposal)
Attached for the board's consideration are the alternative proposals for
projects 1, 2 and 4 (Refer to board member Taylor's report - item 19.1 for
project 3).

MT ROSKILL GRAMMAR SCHOOL ARTIFICIAL PLAYING SURFACE TRUST
At
the 19 February 2008 Mt Roskill Community Boards meeting it was resolved
That the Mt Roskill Community Board appoints Board
Members Joshua Taylor and Sue Mulrennan, and Mr Barry Bryan to the Mount Roskill
Grammar School Artificial Playing Surface Trust.
Board member Mulrennan has resigned her role as a representative on the Mt
Roskill Grammar School Artificial Playing Surface Trust as she has a conflict of
interest in this matter.
Council, at its 22 November 2007 meeting, resolved that the community board
appoint three members to the Mount Roskill Grammar School Artificial Playing
Surface Trust.
The
Trust Deed requires that one community board member and two community
representatives be appointed to the Trust, along with representatives from other
organisations.
Recommending that an alternative member be appointed as a
replacement representative to the Mount Roskill Grammar School Artificial
Playing Surface Trust.
AUCKLAND INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

the board to discuss the Auckland International Festival. A stall has been
provided at the event for the use of the Community Board.

use a roster system to "man" the stall and market the "Not just passing through,
