CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
The
minutes of the Mt Roskill Community Board meeting held on Tuesday, 21 April 2009
to be confirmed as a true and correct record.
EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS
| Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (as amended) states: |
| "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at
that meeting if- |
| (a) |
The local authority by resolution so decides; and |
| (b) |
The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open
to the public,- |
| |
(i) |
The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and |
| |
(ii) |
The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a
subsequent meeting." |
| Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and

| (a) |
That item may be discussed at that meeting if- |

(i) |
That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the
local authority; and |

The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time
when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the
meeting; but |
| (b) |
no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of
that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local
authority for further discussion." |
PUBLIC FORUM
A
period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public
to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of
5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from
members.
The
following requests have been received to address the meeting:
4.1. PUBLIC FORUM - QUARRY AFFAIRS - THREE KINGS UNITED GROUP INC
Dianne Hill, president of
Three Kings United Group Inc, and Austen Bell wish to address the board
regarding quarry affairs at Three Kings Quarry.
PRESENTATION BY NZ TRANSPORT AGENCY ON STATE HIGHWAY 20 WATERVIEW CONNECTION
Carol
Greensmith, Communication Manager and Clive Fuhr, Principal Project Manager from
the NZ Transport Agency, will present to the Board on the SH20 Waterview
Connection project.

- consider which new proposals from stage 1
should proceed for vetting by relevant council officers

- delete any proposals that it does not intend to take forward, and
- allocate budgets to the Waikowhai Park
Barbeque, the Three Kings basketball Hoop and the Turner Reserve Bollards
projects.

At the Transport Committee meeting held on
Thursday, 7 May a report was considered regarding the Mt Roskill Cone-Puketapapa
cycleway and the committee resolved as follows:
That the Committee notes that the Mt Roskill
Cone-Puketapapa cycleway and walking project will be reviewed to determine how
the project can be implemented by staging the project programmes if necessary.
Recommending that the Board receive the
information.
BOARD SUBMISSION ON THE SALE AND SUPPLY OF LIQUOR AND LIQUOR ENFORCEMENT BILL

the 21 April 2009 meeting the Mt Roskill Community Board considered the Sale and
Supply of Liquor and Liquor Enforcement Bill and resolved as follows:
That
Board member Taylor-Raffills be nominated to prepare a submission to the select
committee regarding the Sale and Supply of Liquor and Liquor Enforcement Bill.
Attaching a copy of the Board's submission on the Sale of Liquor Enforcement
Bill.
Recommending that the submission be received.
AUCKLAND HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Advising that the Auckland Heritage Festival is being held between 19 September
and 4 October 2009 and the theme of this year's festival. Also advising that
applications for the festival programme close on 30 May 2009.
Recommending that the Board consider whether it wishes that board be included in

Attaching a report from the Chairperson updating the Board on the projects and
issues he has been involved with since the last meeting.
