CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
The
minutes of the Mt Roskill Community Board meeting held on Tuesday, 19 May 2009
to be confirmed as a true and correct record.
EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (as amended) states: |
|
"An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at
that meeting if- |
|
(a) |
The local authority by resolution so decides; and |
|
(b) |
The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open
to the public,- |
|
|
(i) |
The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and |
|
|
(ii) |
The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a
subsequent meeting." |

Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states: |

"Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,- |
|
(a) |
That item may be discussed at that meeting if- |
|
|
(i) |
That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the
local authority; and |
|
|
(ii) |
The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time
when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the
meeting; but |
|
(b) |
no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of
that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local
authority for further discussion." |
PUBLIC FORUM
A
period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public
to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of
5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from
members.

The attached report was considered by the Transport Committee on 11 June 2009.
The resolutions from the Committee will be tabled at the Board's meeting.
The report seeks to:
- Update the Committee on the recent
New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) announcement of a new preferred alignment
for the SH20 Waterview project
- Outline the next steps for the
council's involvement in the project
- Highlight some initial issues
raised by the new alignment.
The Senior Transport Planner will be in attendance to speak to the report.
DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION (2009/2010) - DOMINION ROAD SCHOOL

Attaching an application from the Dominion Road school seeking funding of
$5,620.80 to create an "Eco-Trail" consisting of an embankment pathway and the
planting of native plants, to be funded from the Board's 2009/2010 discretionary
funding budget.
Recommending that the application be considered.
URGENT DECISION - SLIPS PROJECT - MARGARET GRIFFEN PARK STAGE 3

to $2,000 to the Margaret Griffen Park Stage 3 project for weed removal.
Recommending that the urgent decision be noted.
SCHOOLS COMPETITION TO HELP MAKE MT ROSKILL A "CHILD FRIENDLY" PLACE

As a
result of initial positive feedback from Mt Roskill Grammar, Waikowhai
Intermediate and Hay Park Primary schools, the chairperson wishes to discuss the
above item seeking the board's support on a proposal for Mt Roskill schools to
take part in a competition that will promote Mt Roskill as a "Child Friendly"
community.

issues he has been involved with since the last meeting.
