    That the minutes of the Mt Roskill Community Board meeting held on 17 July 2007 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    4.1. RESERVE - SEACLIFFE ROAD - mR TONY LANE

    Mr Tony Lane addressed the board regarding the reserve at the end of Seacliffe Road, and what can be done to keep the area safe.

    Moved: Leighton/ Taylor-Raffills

    1. That Mr Tony Lane be thanked for his presentation regarding the reserve at the end of Seacliffe Road.
    2. That the Group Manager, ACR Services be asked to consider the options suggested in the paper tabled by Mr Tony Lane and any other options, and provide a report to the Board on this matter, for the present and any other future plans.

  6. Top DEMOLITION OF UNUSED BUILDING ON FEARON PARK

    Moved: Leighton/Burden

    1. That the Mt Roskill Community Board recommends to the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee that it approves the demolition of the building on Fearon Park (previously known as the softball clubrooms).

    Moved: Buckingham/Leighton

    Councillor Mulholland wished his vote against be recorded.

    1. That the Group Manager, ACR Policy be requested to report to the board on any management plan for Fearon Park, or possible concept plans for the future of Fearon Park.

  7. Top WESLEY YOUTH CENTRE

    Moved: Barter/Mulholland

    1. That the report of the Community & Social Policy Planner dated 8 August 2007 be received.
    2. That the Mt Roskill community board note the proposed location of the Wesley youth centre adjacent to the Wesley Community Centre and notes that further work on options, site negotiation, costs and funding will be undertaken and reported back to the Board.

  8. Top TAYLORS RESERVE BEACH REPLENISHMENT PROJECT

    Lorenzo Canal, Consultant, gave a brief PowerPoint presentation to the Board regarding this item.

    1. That the report of the Group Manager, Transport Infrastructure Delivery dated 8 August 2007 be received.
    2. That the Mt Roskill Community Board enthusiastically endorses sand replenishment of Taylors Reserve Beach.
    3. That Lorenzo Canal be thanked for his presentation and attendance at the meeting

    1. That Board member Taylor-Raffills be thanked for her efforts towards this submission.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board submission on the Policing Directions in New Zealand for the 21st century be noted.

    2. That the Group Manager, Environmental and Utility Management be requested to provide a report to the Board regarding stormwater flooding in the toilet block in Mt Roskill.
