  5. Top SLIPS PROGRAMME UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 2010

    2. That the Mt Roskill Community Board notes the SLIPs team thanks the Mount Roskill Community Board chairperson, board members and Democracy Services advisors for working alongside the team on the three year SLIPs Programme.
    3. That the Mt Roskill Community Board thanks Melanie Bartlett and the SLIPs team for all their help and support during the board's term.

    1. That the Mount Roskill Community Board supports the demolition of the former Mount Roskill Scouts building on Arthur Faulkner Reserve, 33 Foch Avenue, Three Kings.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board requests that council officers engage with all stakeholders to investigate potential options for restoring the open space.

    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $1,500.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to the Christian Assist Trust for the provision of the cost of hiring a room at Wesley Community Centre on Market Days to provide budget and advocacy advice to members of the Mount Roskill community.
    3. That the Christian Assist Trust be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $1,500.00

    8.4. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - THE DISABLED CITIZENS SOCIETY INC.

    1. That the discretionary funding application from The Disabled Citizens Society Inc. be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $1,500.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to The Disabled Citizens Society Inc. the cost of establishing two three month blocks of Saturday morning music programmes, at their Dominion Road premises, for high school students and adults in Mt Eden, Mt Albert and Mt Roskill with intellectual disabilities.
    3. That The Disabled Citizens Society Inc. be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $1,500.00

    1. That the discretionary funding application from "I Have a Dream" Charitable Trust be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $4,000.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to "I Have a Dream" Charitable Trust towards the cost of the Wesley Intermediate School's Coach and "Dreamers" project of spending a day in five Mount Roskill schools giving presentations to children to encourage them in to pursue their education.
    3. That "I Have a Dream" Charitable Trust be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $4,000.00.

    8.9. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - LYNFIELD RECREATION AND YOUTH CENTRE - GLEE CLUB

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre - Glee Club be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $2,000.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to the Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre - Glee Club for the provision of a new weekly after school performing arts class to take place at the Centre.
    3. That the Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre - Glee Club be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $2,000.00.

    8.10. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - LYNFIELD RECREATION AND YOUTH CENTRE - LADIES NIGHT

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre - Ladies' Night be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $4,500.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to the Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre - Ladies' Night for the installation of privacy screens to encourage more women to attend Saturday evening exercise classes at the Centre.
    3. That the Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre - Glee Club be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $4,500.00

    8.12. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - MOUNT ROSKILL GRAMMAR SCHOOL ARTIFICIAL PLAYING SURFACE TRUST

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Mount Roskill Grammar School Artificial Playing Surface Trust be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $10,000.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to the Mount Roskill Grammar School Artificial Playing Surface Trust for the provision of towards the cost of replacing the turf on the practice pitch used by the school and the community for various sports.
    3. That the Mount Roskill Grammar School Artificial Playing Surface Trust be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $10,000.00.

    8.15. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - NO. 3 CITY OF AUCKLAND SQUADRON AIR TRAINING CORPS

    1. That the discretionary funding application from No. 3 City of Auckland Squadron Air Training Corps be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $1,600.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to No. 3 City of Auckland Squadron Air Training Corps towards the cost of replacing old abseiling equipment to make abseiling available to all cadets.
    3. That the No. 3 City of Auckland Squadron Air Training Corps be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $1,600.00.

    8.16. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - ROSKILL KIDS, MT ROSKILL BAPTIST CHURCH

    1. That the discretionary funding application from Roskill Kids, Mount Roskill Baptist Church be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $500.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to Roskill Kids, Mount Roskill Baptist Church towards the cost of holding a Light Party as an alternative to Halloween on 31 October 2010 at Mount Roskill Baptist Church.
    3. That Roskill Kids, Mount Roskill Baptist Church be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $500.00.

    8.17. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - TOUTUPU TONGA TRUST

    1. That the discretionary funding application from the Toutupu Tonga Trust be received.
    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $1538.02 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to the Toutupu Tonga Trust towards the cost of patrolling areas (identified by the Police) in Avondale, Mt Roskill and Mt Albert and work with parents of troubled youth.
    3. That the Toutupu Tonga Trust be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $1538.02.

    8.18. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - TYLA YOUTH DEVELOPMENT TRUST

    2. That the Mount Roskill Community Board approves the allocation of $4,500.00 from the board's 2010/2011 discretionary funding budget to the Waikowhai Community Trust towards the costs of holding another neighbourhood day in Molley Green Reserve on 2 April 2011.
    3. That the Waikowhai Community Trust be requested to provide an accountability statement to Auckland Council following the expenditure of $4,500.00.
