  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    The minutes of the Tamaki Community Board meeting held on Tuesday, 24 April 2007 to be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:

    "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at that meeting if-

    (a)

    The local authority by resolution so decides; and

    (b)

    The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open to the public,-

     

    (i)

    The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and

     

    (ii)

    The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a subsequent meeting."

    Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:

    "Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,-

    (a)

    That item may be discussed at that meeting if-

     

    (i)

    That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the local authority; and

     

    (ii)

    The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the meeting; but

    (b)

    no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local authority for further discussion."

  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    A period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of 5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from members.

    4.1. SPORT AUCKLAND - SIMON PETERSEN

    Simon Peterson, Chief Executive of Sport Auckland wishes to address the Board on current sport activities in the Ward.

  5. Top AUCKLAND-MANUKAU EASTERN TRANSPORT INITIATIVE (AMETI) PRESENTATION

    Matthew Rednall, Roads Manager, Transport will present to the Board regarding the Auckland-Manukau Eastern Transport Initiative (AMETI) proposal.

  6. Top GLEN INNES HEALTH PROJECT

    Reporting on the progress on the Glen Innes project from November 2006 to April 2007, which was funded by the Ministry of Health, focusing on public health issues in Glen Innes. The key achievements of the project are:

    • Community information workshops co-ordinated around a range of health and well-being issues;
    • Glen Innes Health working group continued to be facilitated and well attended;
    • Facilitated the Glen Innes Family Fun Day;
    • Co-ordinated Mental Health promotion training for community workers.

    Recommending that the report be received.

  8. Top NAMING OF A PUBLIC ROAD AT 315-375 MT WELLINGTON HIGHWAY

    At the 24 April 2007 Board meeting it was resolved that Councillor Boyle and Board Members Metcalfe and Bhalla be delegated to name the proposed public road at 315-375 Mt Wellington Highway and report back to the Board.

  9. Top AUCKLAND-MANUKAU EASTERN TRANSPORT INITIATIVE (AMETI) NORTHERN SECTOR UPDATE

    Attaching for the Board's information, the report of the Roads Manager, dated 30 April 2007, considered by the Transport and Urban Linkages Committee at its 7 May 2007 meeting. The Committee resolved as follows:

    1. That the report of the Transport Strategy Manager, dated 20 April 2007, be received.
    2. That Auckland City will be seeking every opportunity to advocate for the early implementation of low weight ferry services from within the Auckland-Manukau Eastern Transport Initiative (AMETI) project area to the CBD within the Auckland Regional Transport Authority's (ARTA) 10 year Passenger Transport Network Plan.

  10. Top DEPUTATION: SUBMISSION REGARDING PROPOSED YOUTH MUSIC/ARTS PROGRAMME IN GLEN INNES AND THE GLEN INNES MUSIC ART CENTRE

    The Community Development and Equity Committee, at its 9 May 2007 meeting, considered the submission from Tess Liew and Tim Mapp regarding the proposed youth music/arts programme in Glen Innes and the Glen Innes Music and Arts Centre. The Committee resolved as follows:

    1. That Tess Liew and Tim Mapp be thanked for their presentation regarding the proposed youth music/arts programme in Glen Innes and the Glen Innes Music and Arts Centre.
    2. That the report be referred to Recreation and Community Services for consideration prior to the 11 July 2007 Community Development and Equity Committee meeting.

    Recommending that the information be received.

  11. Top CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED - PROGRESSIVE PANMURE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION  

    Correspondence from the Progressive Panmure Business Association thanking the Board for its 2006/2007 Discretionary Funding grant of $2,388 towards the costs of hosting a Panmure Chinese New Year function on 16 February 2007, has been received.
