CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
The minutes of the inaugural meeting of the Tamaki
Community Board held on Wednesday, 14 November 2007 to be confirmed as a true
and correct record.
EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

PUBLIC FORUM
A period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside
for members of the public to address the meeting on matters within its delegated
authority. A maximum of 5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there
may be questions from members.

Attaching a report prepared by the Deputy Mayor for the
Board's consideration.
The Council, at its meeting held on Thursday, 1 November
2007, considered an item regarding "2007 - 2010 Committee Structures and
Regulatory Responsibilities" and resolved inter alia as follows:
- That a working party consisting of the deputy mayor as chair,
Councillor Northey and Councillor Armstrong consider proposed elected member
remuneration set out in 3.4 and appendix one and invite comment on any relevant
issues from the councillors and community board representatives. The deputy
mayor to report back to council following these discussions on the recommended
remuneration structure.
Recommending that comments on the proposed remuneration
for 2007 - 2008 be sent to the remuneration working party by 3 December 2007.

At its meeting on 26 September 2007 the Public Art
Sub-committee considered the report of the Senior Arts Planner, dated 6
September 2007, it was resolved as follows:
- That the Public Art Subcommittee endorse the proposal to fund $80,000
landscaping costs of the David Lange Memorial artwork over two years, 2007/2008
and 2008/2009, from the Citywide Artworks Fund.
- That officers continue working with the David Lange Memorial Trust
project manager, Deborah White, and the artist, Virginia King, to integrate the
David Lange Memorial Artwork into stage two of the Otahuhu Recreation Precinct
development project.
- That the report by the Senior Arts Planner and these resolutions be
forwarded to the Tamaki Community Board, the Arts, Culture and Recreation
Committee and the David Lange Memorial Trust.
The report is attached for the Board's information.
Recommending that the report be received.
