  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    The minutes of the Tamaki Community Board meeting held on Tuesday, 27 October 2009 to be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:
    "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at that meeting if-
    (a) The local authority by resolution so decides; and
    (b) The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open to the public,-
      (i) The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and
      (ii) The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a subsequent meeting."
    Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:
    "Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,-
    (a) That item may be discussed at that meeting if-
      (i) That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the local authority; and
      (ii) The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the meeting; but
    (b) no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local authority for further discussion."
  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    A period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of 5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from members.

    The following request has been received to address the meeting:

    4.1. SPORT AUCKLAND IN THE TAMAKI WARD, PAULA BROWNING, SPORT AUCKLAND

    Paula Browning of Sport Auckland wishes to address the Board regarding the group's work in the Tamaki ward.

  5. Top UPDATE ON TRAFINZ 2009 CONFERENCE, SIMON RANDALL, MAUNGAKIEKIE COMMUNITY BOARD MEMBER

    At its 28 July 2009 meeting, the Board resolved as follows:

    That Board member Simon Randall of the Maungakiekie Community Board be invited to attend the Tamaki Community Board meeting after the Trafinz conference.

    Simon Randall will be updating the Board on the TrafiNZ 2009 conference.

  6. Top UPDATE ON TAMAKI TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME, JENNY OXLEY, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

    Jenny Oxley of the Tamaki Transformation Programme will update the Board on the direction and current initiatives of the programme.

  7. Top AN INTRODUCTION TO THE PARKING DESIGN TEAM, SCOTT EBBETT

    Scott Ebbett, Parking Design Team Lead, wishes to make a presentation on parking and advise the Board on how his team can assist businesses in the Tamaki ward.

  8. Top OTAHUHU RECREATION PRECINCT MASTER PLAN 2009

    Updating the Board on the Otahuhu Recreation Precinct 2009 Master Plan proposed for Fairburn Reserve, Otahuhu.

    Recommending that the report be received.

  9. Top SOUTH PLACE TEAM SIX MONTHLY REPORT

  10. Top DRAFT AUCKLAND REGIONAL LAND TRANSPORT STRATEGY CONSULTATION

  11. Top TRANSPOWER, PAKURANGA TO PENROSE UNDERGROUND CABLING PROJECT

    Attaching information received from Transpower on projects that are underway in the Tamaki ward which relate to their North Auckland and Northland Upgrade.

    Transpower is also seeking community input on a final cable route from the beginning of Ti Rakau Drive to Pakuranga substation. The feedback form is attached and is due by 27 November 2009.

    Recommending that the Board considers whether it wishes to provide input into the project.

  12. Top SMALL LOCAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (SLIPS) PROGRAMME UPDATE NOVEMBER 2009

    14.4. 2009/2010 DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION, MT WELLINGTON RUGBY LEAGUE

    Attaching a discretionary funding application from the Mt Wellington Rugby League. The league is applying for funding in order to fund traditional Maori games workshops and salsa classes.

    Attaching a discretionary funding application from Bo Ai She (Chinese Mental Health Consumer Self Support Organisation) seeking funding to pay for operational costs associated with educating members about good mental health.
