  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    The minutes of the Waiheke Community Board meeting held on Wednesday, 28 March 2007 to be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:

    "An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at that meeting if-

    (a)

    The local authority by resolution so decides; and

    (b)

    The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open to the public,-

     

    (i)

    The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and

     

    (ii)

    The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a subsequent meeting."

    Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (as amended) states:

    "Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,-

    (a)

    That item may be discussed at that meeting if-

     

    (i)

    That item is a minor matter relating to the general business of the local authority; and

     

    (ii)

    The presiding member explains at the beginning of the meeting, at a time when it is open to the public, that the item will be discussed at the meeting; but

    (b)

    no resolution, decision, or recommendation may be made in respect of that item except to refer that item to a subsequent meeting of the local authority for further discussion."

  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    A period of time (approximately 20 minutes) is set aside for members of the public to address the meeting on matters within its delegated authority. A maximum of 5 minutes per item is allowed, following which there may be questions from members.

  9. Top 2007/2008 DRAFT ANNUAL PLAN

    Council's Draft 2007/2008 Annual Plan will be available from Friday, 20 April 2007, and a copy will be sent to each Board Member. Submissions will close on Monday, 21 May 2007.

    Community Board/Public Annual Plan presentations are scheduled as follows:

    • Tuesday, 1 May 2007 at 6.00pm in the Hillsborough Room, Fickling Convention Centre.
    • Wednesday, 2 May 2007 at 6.00 pm in the Level 2 Reception Lounge, Town Hall.
    • Monday, 7 May 2007 at 6.00pm in the Glen Innes Community Centre.

    Recommending that the Board form a working party to prepare the Board's submission to Council's Draft 2007/2008 Annual Plan.

  10. Top 2007/2008 SLIPS

    Attaching a list of SLIP's projects for consideration for funding and completion in the 2007/2008 financial year. The Board has an amount of $208,000 available for this purpose.

    The Board is reminded that this is the only opportunity to fund projects that will take a year to complete.

    1. consider the list of projects and allocate funding accordingly; and
    2. nominate a spokesperson for each project.

    Providing the Board with an opportunity to consider the events it wishes to hold this year, and who the Board would like to organise these events, with prospective dates for addition to the Auckland events calendar.

    Waiheke 'Carols By Candlelight' and Waiheke 'Little Day-In' will be organised and funded by City Events.

    Recommending that the Board decide on events to fund for the 2007 year, nominate dates, and delegate an organiser.
