    4.1 FRANCIS STREET PARKING AND OTHER ISSUES

    Representatives from West Lynn residents spoke and tabled a copy of the minutes from their meeting with regards to street parking issues.

    1. That Jude Graveson, Dennis Snelgar, Cathy Klouwens and West Lynn residents be thanked for their attendance and presentation.
    2. That the Chairperson and Board member Stanton continue to attend the residents' meeting and follow up on issues raised by them.

    4.2 DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - PARENTS INC ATTITUDE DIVISION, LEX MAWSON

    1. That the information memorandum from the Transport Assets Manager dated 1 October 2009 be received with regards to road berm encroachments in Edgar Street, Westmere.
    2. That the Western Bays Community Board supports public access to all public spaces.

    6.1. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - TE ROOPU O WAI ORA INC.

    1. That the discretionary funding application of the Te Roopu O Wai Ora Inc. be received.
    2. That the Western Bays Community Board grants $2,000.00 from its 2009/ 2010 discretionary funding budget to the Te Roopu O Wai Ora Inc. to assist in providing coaching and competition for at risk youth in the Grey Lynn community.
    3. That the Te Roopu O Wai Ora Inc. be requested to provide an accountability statement to the Western Bays Community Board following the expenditure of the discretionary funding grant of $2,000.00.

    6.2. DISCRETIONARY FUNDING APPLICATION - PARENTS INC. ATTITUDE DIVISION

    1. That the discretionary funding application of the Parents Inc. Attitude Division be received.
    2. That the Western Bays Community Board grants $1,500.00 from its 2009/ 2010 discretionary funding budget to the Parents Inc. Attitude Division to assist the group in providing 10 attitude presentations at 4 secondary schools in the ward.

    The motion was LOST on a show of hands by 2 votes for and 4 votes against.

    1. That the Board recommended that the Parents Inc. Attitude Division apply under the citywide funding round for their projects.

  7. Top SLIPS DECISION REPORT

    1. That the memorandum of the SLIPs Project Portfolio Leader, dated 7 January be received.
    2. That the Western Bays Community Board notes the pending project proposals and their status when allocating funding.
    3. That the Western Bays Community Board defer indefinitely the following projects:
      • Bangor Street Car park phase 1 survey, design and consents
      • Bangor Street Cr park Phase 2 Physical works
      • Western park Tree walk brochure map
      • Western Springs Pine Forest Plan

    1. That the Western Bays Community Board allocates the budget of $17,026 (opex) for implementation of the Meola Creek Restoration Plan proposal.
