  6. Top RESIGNATION OF SUSAN MACDOUGALL, AUCKLAND EAST ARTS COUNCIL

    The Democracy Advisor has received notice of resignation from Susan MacDougall, Auckland East Arts Council, from her position as appointed member of the Creative Communities Sub-committee. In accordance with the Sub-committee terms of reference, the Auckland East Arts Council is asked to nominate a member as a replacement.

    At its meeting on 13 December 2007, Council affirmed the resolutions of the 6 December 2007 meeting of the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee, inter alia, as follows:

    1. "That the total number of members for the Creative Communities Subcommittee for the 2007-2010 term of council be as follows:
      1. one councillor from Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee (Deputy Chair)
      2. one iwi representative (to be advised)
      3. one representative from the Eden Arts Council and one representative from the Auckland East Arts Council Inc. being the representatives for the Auckland Arts Council (to be advised)
      4. two community co-opted members be appointed to the Creative Communities Subcommittee."

    That the Auckland East Arts Council nominee John Towers be appointed to the Creative Communities Sub-committee, in light of the resignation of Susan MacDougall and to fulfil the requirements under the terms of reference established for the Sub-committee at the 13 December 2007 meeting of Council.
