- That the Creative Communities Sub-committee
requests officers to make contact with community groups that have not applied
for the last 2 funding rounds to ensure they have an understanding of the fund
and to assist them with applying at the next funding round in November 2009.
- That the Creative Communities Sub-Committee
forward the following concerns to Creative New Zealand for some clarification:
- the decrease in the number of applications
under the pilot scheme are a matter of concern when elsewhere in New Zealand
applications appear to be consistent; this may be a result of the criteria of
the pilot scheme which inhibits people from making applications;
- That the 28 May 2009 minutes of the Auckland
City Creative Communities Sub-Committee be forwarded to Creative New Zealand for
its information.
- That Creative New Zealand officers give
consideration to the new Regional Governance structure for Auckland and the
realistic delivery of the Creative Communities scheme to best serve the
community, in light of the fact that the new "Auckland City" Creative
Communities scheme will encompass over one third of New Zealand's total
population.
- That the Creative Communities Sub-Committee
request officers to consider on going events as eligible for funding and that
they be considered as a higher priority for funding when there is evidence of
new active participants.
