Section 7(2)(i)
The
withholding of the information is necessary to enable the local
authority to carry on, without prejudice or disadvantage, negotiations
(including commercial and industrial negotiations).
In particular, it is part of a discussion around the 2009
remuneration. The paper could be made public following completion of the
process. |

withholding of the information is necessary to protect the privacy of
natural persons, including that of a deceased person.

The
withholding of the information is necessary to enable the local
authority to carry on, without prejudice or disadvantage, negotiations
(including commercial and industrial negotiations).
In
particular, this item is to discuss whether to recommend to council and
the Auckland Transition Agency appointing the current Chief executive
for a period of not more than two years or to appoint an alternative
Chief executive. |

REVIEW OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S CONTRACT
Secretarial note: The attachment to the confidential report entitled "Review of
Chief executive" (agenda item C2.B.), dated 22 October 2009, being the overview
of the Auckland City Council Chief executive's performance since his appointment
on 1 July 2005, will be attached to the open Performance Monitoring Committee
minutes on completion of the review process, once confirmation from the Auckland
Transition Agency has been received.
