MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE
REGIONAL GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE
HELD ON THURSDAY, 14 MAY 2009 AT 1:30 PM

Secretarial note:  The meeting opened at 1:30pm and was adjourned to 2:30pm to accommodate members who were still present at the City Development Committee meeting.

The meeting reconvened at 2:30pm

1. APOLOGIES

   That the apology from His Worship the Mayor for non attendance be accepted.

   CARRIED

2. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

   That the minutes of the Regional Governance Committee meeting held on Wednesday, 15 April 2009 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

   CARRIED

3. EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

   There was no extraordinary business.

4. PUBLIC FORUM

   There were no requests to speak in public forum.

5. REGIONAL GOVERNANCE UPDATE

   Councillor Easte tabled a non-confidential addendum to the Auckland Regional Council Transport & Urban Development Committee:

   That the report of the Strategy office advisor, dated 1 May 2009, be received and officers report back to the Regional Governance Committee on the feedback provided in the areas of representation, Maori engagement, transport, social issues and waterfront.

   CARRIED

   There being no further business the Chairperson declared the meeting closed at 3:05 pm.
