    The following items were introduced by the sub-committee:

    1. Temporary Traffic and Parking Restriction Changes Resealing of Pah Road Between Orakau Road and Lauchlan Avenue Epsom;
    2. Mt Eden Road, Mt Eden, Eden/Albert Ward - Parking restriction changes;
    3. Temporary Traffic and parking Restriction Changes Apirana Avenue, Glen Innes between Merton Road and Taniwha Street - Road Sealing.

    The reason for urgency being that the works planned in these reports are commencing prior to the next sub-committee meeting and they be considered as item 44, 45 and 46 of the agenda.

  4. Top PONSONBY ROAD (HEPBURN ROAD TO KARANGAHAPE ROAD), PONSONBY, WESTERN BAYS WARD BUS LANE AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS - RESOLUTION ID - 8455

    1. That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, Sections 2.1 and 7.3, the roadway be marked with NO PASSING LINES as described on:-
      Ponsonby Road, from a point 10.0 metres south of the extended line of the southern kerb line of Douglas Street and extending in a southerly direction for a distance of 37.5 metres (Refer to area marked 'C1').
      Ponsonby Road, from a point 9.0 metres north of the extended line of the property boundary line of No. 148 and No.s 150 to 152 Ponsonby Road and extending in southerly direction for a distance of 23.0 metres. (Refer to area marked 'C2').
    2.     4.       Ponsonby Road, the north east side, from a point 10.5 metres south east of the extended line of the south eastern kerb line of Anglesea Street and extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of 22.5 metres. (Refer to area marked 'B1').
      Ponsonby Road, the north east side, from a point 49.0 metres south east of the extended line of the south eastern kerb line of Anglesea Street and extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of 9.5 metres. (Refer to area marked 'B2').

    6. That pursuant to Sections 317 and 334 of the Local Government Act 1974, and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, Sections 2.1 and 7.7, the construction of a TRAFFIC ISLAND be authorised on: -
      Ponsonby Road, marked A. (existing), B. (existing), C., D, E and F as shown on Drawing No. Z1391206-0107 G006 Rev C.
    7. That pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Section 317 and Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, Section 2.1, all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to the stopping or standing of vehicles in the above areas, be rescinded.
    8. This resolution will take effect when the physical change takes place as described above.

  5. Top TEMPORARY TRAFFIC AND PARKING RESTRICTION CHANGES VARIOUS STREETS AUCKLAND CENTRAL - HOBSON WARD AUCKLAND ADIDAS MARATHON - 2008

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicles on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is prohibited between the hours and days detailed below and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution be suspended for the time this resolution is operational from 24 hours before each start date and time as detailed above and then six hours after each end date and time as outlined above.

    1.       1. the parking place, part or portion of a road described in this resolution is declared to be a pay and display area between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays;
      2. the fees payable for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area at all relevant times are prescribed to be - four dollars per hour Monday to Friday and two dollars per hour Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays;
      3. the payment procedure for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area is declared to be - payment utilising coinage, credit card or cellular phone;
      4. the maximum time allowed for the parking of a vehicle in such pay and display area on one occasion is declared to be 60 minutes on Monday to Friday and 120 minutes on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays;
      5. appropriate parking meters will be placed, the location of pay and display areas will be indicated by painted lines and the appropriate signs erected.

      2. the fees payable for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area at all relevant times are prescribed to be - two dollars per hour / Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays;
      3. the payment procedure for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area is declared to be - payment utilising coinage, credit card or cellular phone;
      4. the maximum time allowed for the parking of a vehicle in such pay and display area on one occasion is declared to be 120 minutes on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays;
      5. appropriate parking meters will be placed, the location of pay and display areas will be indicated by painted lines and the appropriate signs erected.
      Kingston Street, south side, from a point 6.0 metres east of the extended line of the eastern kerb line of Federal Street and extending east for a distance of 42.5 metres (refer to area marked 'C5' in the attached drawing dps-2007-166)
    4. That pursuant to clause 25.13 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004,
      1. the piece of land, length of road or building described in this resolution is specified to be a parking place;
      2. the times for the parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution are defined as a maximum time of 10 minutes between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.
      Kingston Street, south side, from a point 26.5 metres east of the extended line of the eastern kerb line of Federal Street and extending east for a distance of 22.0 metres (refer to area marked 'E1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-166)
    5. That pursuant to clause 25.9 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004,
      1. the part of road described in this resolution is determined to be a loading zone between the hours of 8am to 6pm/ Monday to Friday;
      2. the stopping, standing or parking of any vehicle in the loading zones determined and described in this resolution is restricted to a maximum time of five minutes;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs and markings.
      Kingston Street, south side, from a point 6.0 metres east of the extended line of the eastern kerb line of Federal Street and extending east for a distance of 15.5 metres (refer to area marked 'D1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-166)
    6. That pursuant to clause 25.9 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport rule 54002: Traffic control Devices 2004,
      1. the part of road described in this resolution is determined to be a loading zone at all times;
      2. the stopping, standing or parking of authorised construction vehicles only in the loading zones determined in this resolution is unrestricted to any maximum time;
      3. the loading zone restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs and markings.

    7. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of vehicles on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is prohibited except for police vehicles and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.
      Kingston Street, south side, from a point 48.5 metres east of the extended line of the eastern kerb line of Federal Street and extending east for a distance of 18.0 metres (refer to area marked 'F1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-166)
    8. That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution be revoked.
    9. That this resolution will take effect when the traffic control devices that evidence the restrictions described in this resolution are in place.

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of vehicles on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is restricted to the corresponding authorised vehicle so described and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.
      Beasley Avenue, Penrose - both kerb lines from approximately 6.0m from the northern kerb line of Church Street extending north to end of cul-de-sac.

That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution be suspended for the time this resolution is operational from 24 hours before each start date and time as detailed above and then six hours after each end date as outlined in the above.

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicle on the road or part of road described in this resolution is prohibited and will be evidenced by the appropriate road markings.
      Mt Eden Road, west side, from the extended line of the northern kerb line of Peary Road and extending north for a distance of 9.5 metres (refer to area marked 'A1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-170)
      Mt Eden Road, west side, from a point 35.5 metres north of the extended line of the northern kerb line of Peary Road and extending north for a distance of 5.0 metres (refer to area marked 'A2' in the attached drawing dps-2007-170)

      2. the times for the parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution are defined as a maximum time of 15 minutes between the hours of 9am to 6pm/ Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm/Thursday and 8am to 6pm/ Saturday;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.
      Mt Eden Road, west side, from a point 9.5 metres north of the extended line of the northern kerb line of Peary Road and extending north for a distance of 26.0 metres (refer to area marked 'B1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-170)
    3. That pursuant to clause 25.13 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004,
      1. the piece of land, length of road or building described in this resolution is specified to be a parking place;
      2. the times for the parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution are defined as a maximum time of 30 minutes between the hours of 9am to 6pm/ Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm/Thursday and 8am to 6pm/ Saturday;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.
      Mt Eden Road, west side, from a point 67.0 metres north of the extended line of the northern kerb line of Peary Road and extending north for a distance of 16.0 metres (refer to area marked 'C1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-170)
    4. That pursuant to clause 25.17 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
      1. the road or part of road described in this resolution is specified as the location of a special vehicle lane between the hours of 7am and 9am, Monday to Friday;
      2. the use of the special vehicle lane specified in this resolution is restricted to buses, cycles, mopeds and motorcycles (unless one or more are specified in this resolution as excluded);
      3. the special vehicle lanes described in this resolution will be evidenced by the appropriate signs and markings.
      Mt Eden Road, west side, from a point 9.5 metres north of the extended line of the northern kerb line of Peary Road and extending north for a distance of 122.0 metres (refer to area marked 'D1' in the attached drawing dps-2007-170)
    5. That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution be revoked.
    6. That this resolution will take effect when the traffic control devices that evidence the restrictions described in this resolution are in place.

  46. Top TEMPORARY TRAFFIC AND PARKING RESTRICTION CHANGES APIRANA AVENUE, GLEN INNES BETWEEN MERTON ROAD AND TANIWHA STREET - ROAD SEALING

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006(as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicle on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is prohibited between the hours detailed below and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.
      Apirana Avenue, Glen Innes. Both sides between Merton Road and Taniwha Street intersections.

      The above parking controls will be enforced during the following times
      From 1930 hours Day Saturday Date 8th Nov. 2008
      To 0600hours Day Sunday Date 23rd Nov. 2008

       

    2. That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution be suspended for the time this resolution is operational from 24 hours before each start date and time as detailed above and then six hours after each end date as outlined in the above.
