  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    The following items were introduced by the sub-committee and are considered as items 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18:

    1. Bus lane and parking restriction at Broadway (St Marks Road/Alpers Avenue to Edgerley Avenue/ Mahuru Street), Newmarket, Hobson Ward - Resolution ID - 12151;
    2. Bus lane and parking restriction at Broadway (Edgerley Avenue/Mahuru Street to Mortimer Pass/Balm Street), Newmarket, Hobson Ward - Resolution ID - 12152;
    3. No stopping at all times restriction on Hedley Road, Mount Roskill, Mount Roskill Ward - Resolution ID - 8621;
    4. No stopping at all times restriction on Potter Avenue, Mt. Roskill, Mt Roskill Ward - Resolution ID - 8620;
    5. No U-Turn restriction on Wellesley Street West between Queen Street and Albert Street / Mayoral Drive, CBD, Hobson Ward - Resolution ID - 8674.

    The reason for urgency being that the works planned in these reports are commencing prior to the next sub-committee meeting.

  4. Top TEMPORARY TRAFFIC AND PARKING RESTRICTION CHANGES BEAUMONT STREET AND SURROUNDING STREETS - AUCKLAND CENTRAL - HOBSON WARD - NZ DUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS - RESOLUTION ID - 36479

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicle on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is prohibited between the hours of 6.00am and 3.00pm, Sunday 28th June and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      Beaumont Street, Auckland Central - both kerb lines from a point approximately 6.0m from the southern kerb line of Westhaven Drive, extending north to a point approximately 6.0m from the southern kerb line of Jellicoe Street.

      Hamer Street, Auckland Central - both kerb lines from a point approximately 6.0m from the northern kerb line of Jellicoe Street, extending north to where Hamer Street joins Brigham Street.

      Brigham Street, Auckland Central - both kerb lines from a point where Brigham Street joins Hamer Street, extending south to a point approximately 6.0m from the northern kerb line of Jellicoe Street.

  5. Top TEMPORARY TRAFFIC AND PARKING RESTRICTION CHANGES PT CHEVALIER ROAD - PT CHEVALIER - WESTERN BAYS WARD - LIFE CHURCH EVENT - RESOLUTION ID - 37976

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of vehicles on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is restricted to the corresponding authorised vehicles so described and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      Pt Chevalier Road, Pt Chevalier - both kerb lines from a point approximately 14.6m from the northern end of bus stop after 518 Pt Chevalier Rd, extending north for a distance of approximately 50.0m (all parking in cul-de-sac).

      Event Vehicles Only

      The above parking controls will be enforced during the times stated in this resolution between the following times.

    2. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006(as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicle on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is prohibited between the hours detailed below and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      Nikau Street, Eden Terrace - South kerb from the intersection with Ruru Street to opposite the intersection with Korari Street.

      Ruru Street, Eden Terrace - Both sides from the intersection with Nikau Street to the intersection with Shaddock Street.

      Shaddock Street, Eden Terrace - Both sides from the intersection with Ruru Street to outside and opposite #31 Shaddock Street.

      The above parking controls will be enforced during the following times

    2. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006(as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicle on the road or part of the road described in this resolution is prohibited between the hours detailed below and will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      Boston Road, Mt Eden - south kerb between the intersection with Mt Eden road and the intersection with Normanby road.

      Boston Road, Mt Eden - north kerb between the intersection with Mt Eden road and the intersection with Nugent Street.


      The above parking controls will be enforced during the following times

      From 0900 hours Day Monday Date 15 June 2009
      To 1600 hours Day Monday Date 31 August 2009


    2. That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution are suspended for the time this resolution is operational from 24 hours before each start date and time as detailed above and then six hours after each end date as outlined in the above.

  8. Top STATION ROAD, PENROSE - TAMAKI/MAUNGAKIEKIE WARD - PARKING RESTRICTIONS - RESOLUTION ID - 8654

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.13 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004,
      1. the piece of land, length of road or building described in this resolution is specified to be a parking place;
      2. the times for the parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution are defined as a maximum time of 30 minutes between the hours of 8am to 6pm/ Monday to Sunday;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      Station Road, west side, from a point 1.5 metres south of the southern boundary line of property # 55 Station Road and extending south along the kerb line for a distance of 47.0 metres (refer to area marked 'A1' in attached drawing dps-2009-230)

    2. That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution are revoked.
    3. That this resolution will take effect when the traffic control devices that evidence the restrictions described in this resolution are in place.

  9. Top PARKING RESTRICTIONS - KITCHENER ROAD CARPARK - SANDRINGHAM - EDEN/ALBERT WARD - RESOLUTION ID - 8662

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.13 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule 54002: Traffic Control Devices 2004,
      1. the piece of land, length of road or building described in this resolution is specified to be a parking place;
      2. the times for the parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution are defined as a maximum time of 120 minutes between the hours of 8am to 6pm/ Monday to Friday;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      Kitchener Road Carpark, Row 1, west side, from a point 3.5 metres south of the northern boundary and extending south for a distance of 38.0 metres (to the southern boundary) (refer to area marked 'B1' in the attached drawing #dps-2009-231)

      Kitchener Road Carpark, Row 2, east side, from a point 3.5 metres south of the northern boundary and extending south for a distance of 28.0 metres (to the south boundary) (refer to area marked 'B2' in the attached drawing #dps-2009-231)

    2. That pursuant to clause 25.13 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
      1. the piece of land, length of road or building described in this resolution is specified to be a parking place;
      2. the manner of parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution is defined as parking only at an angle to the direction of roadway.

      Kitchener Road Carpark, west side, from the northern boundary and extending south for a distance of 41.5 metres (to the south boundary) (refer to area marked 'A1' +'B1' in the attached drawing #dps-2009-231)

      Kitchener Road Carpark, east side, from the northern boundary and extending south for a distance of 31.5 metres (to the south boundary) (refer to area marked 'A2' +'B2' in the attached drawing #dps-2009-231)

    3. That pursuant to clause 25.13 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
      1. the piece of land, length of road or building described in this resolution is specified to be a parking place;
      2. parking spaces are reserved in the parking place specified in this resolution for the exclusive use of vehicles driven by or carrying disabled persons and displaying an operation mobility card or permit;
      3. parking spaces are reserved at all times;
      4. each reserved parking space described in this resolution will be indicated by appropriate signs and road markings.

    5. That this resolution will take effect when the traffic control devices that evidence the restrictions described in this resolution are in place.

      2. the times for the parking of any vehicle on the parking place specified in this resolution are defined as a maximum time of 5 minutes between the hours of 8am to 6pm/ Monday to Saturday;
      3. the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

      East Street, east side, from a point 5.5 metres south of the extended line of the southern kerb line of Karangahape Road and extending south for a distance of 31.5 metres (refer to area marked 'B1' in the attached drawing # dps-2009-233)

    3. That pursuant to clause 25.15 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
      1. the parking place, part or portion of a road described in this resolution is declared to be a pay and display area between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday;
      2. the fees payable for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area at all relevant times are prescribed to be - four dollars per hour;
      3. the payment procedure for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area is declared to be payment utilising coinage, credit card or cellular phone;
      4. the maximum time allowed for the parking of a vehicle in such pay and display area on one occasion is declared to be 120 minutes;
      5. appropriate parking meters will be placed, the location of pay and display areas will be indicated by painted lines and the appropriate signs erected.

      East Street, east side, from a point 72.0 metres south of the extended line of the southern kerb line of Karangahape Road and extending south for a distance of 51.5 metres (refer to area marked 'B2' in the attached drawing # dps-2009-233)

    4. That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this resolution are revoked.
    5. That this resolution will take effect when the traffic control devices that evidence the restrictions described in this resolution are in place.

    1. That pursuant to clause 25.8 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended) and the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004, the stopping of any vehicle on the road or part of road described in this resolution is prohibited and will be evidenced by the appropriate road markings.

      South Street, south side, from the extended line of the western kerb line of East Street and extending west for a distance of 6.0 metres (Refer to area marked 'A1' in the attached drawing # dps-2009-234)

      South Street, south side, from a point 75.5 metres west of the extended line of the western kerb line of East Street and generally extending in a westerly direction for a distance of 12.0 metres (Refer to area marked 'A2' in the attached drawing # dps-2009-234)

      South Street, north side, from the extended line of the western kerb line of East Street and extending west for a distance of 6.0 metres (Refer to area marked 'A3' in the attached drawing # dps-2009-234)

      South Street, north side, from a point 49.5 metres west of the extended line of the western kerb line of East Street and extending west for a distance of 34.0 metres (Refer to area marked 'A4' in the attached drawing # dps-2009-234)
    2. That pursuant to clause 25.15 of the Auckland City Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
      1. the parking place, part or portion of a road described in this resolution is declared to be a pay and display area between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday;
      2. the fees payable for the parking of a vehicle in each such pay and display area at all relevant times are prescribed to be - two dollars per hour;

      1. the part of road described in this resolution is determined to be a loading zone between the hours of 8am to 6pm/ Monday to Saturday;
      2. the stopping, standing or parking of goods service vehicles in the loading zones determined in this resolution is restricted to a maximum time of five minutes;
      3. the loading zone restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs and markings.
