  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    4.1 MINISTRY OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT - MAGNUM TUIPULOTU

    Magnum Tuipulotu from the Ministry of Youth Development (Auckland/Northland Regional Hub), addressed the Youth Council on their programmes and how they work with youths.

    That Mr Tuipulotu, Youth Participation Advisor - Ministry of Youth Development (Auckland/Northland Regional Hub), be thanked for his presentation.

  5. Top ISTHMUS DISTRICT PLAN REVIEW

    That Erica Law, Manager strategic planning, be thanked for her presentation on the Auckland City Council Isthmus Future Area Planning and the District Plan Review.

  7. Top PROGRAMME ADVISOR - YOUTH REPORT

    The Programme advisor - youth advised the Auckland City Council on the recruitment of members for the Youth Council, an update on the review of the Community Services group and thanked Linda Dunbar and Melanie Turner for their contributions to Youth Council.

    1. That Linda Dunbar, former Community youth advisor, and Melanie Turner, former Democracy coordinator, be thanked for their work and support of the Youth Council during 2007- January 2008.

  10. Top AUCKLAND CITY YOUTH COUNCIL PROJECTS 2008

    10.1. ANNUAL PLAN SUBMISSION 2008

    The Chairperson spoke on the Youth Council's involvement in developing a submission to Auckland City Council's Annual Plan and advised the Youth Council that the scheduled date for this Youth Forum is Monday, 28 April 2008 at 5pm - 8pm in the Reception Lounge, Level 2, Auckland Town Hall.

    Moved: Guanting Liu / Dexter Henderson

    That Clara Kim, Harriet Spratt, Rebecca Kennedy, Kate Boersen, Nive Sharat Chandran be appointed to develop the Youth Council's submission to Auckland City Council's Annual Plan and report back to the May 2008 Youth Council meeting.

    10.2. ANZAC DAY PROJECT 2008

    Moved: Guanting Liu / Dexter Henderson

    That Andrew Harland-Smith, Catherine Mitchener, Clara Kim be appointed to progress the Youth Council's interaction on and before ANZAC Day 2008.

    CARRIED

    10.3. CONVERSE 2008

    Moved:Guanting Liu / Dexter Henderson

    That Jayran Mansouri, Catherine Tamaseu-Russell, Dexter Henderson, Fay Nelisi, Seraphina Kim, Victor Li, Alice Wang be appointed to progress the Youth Council's interaction on and before Converse 2008.

    CARRIED

    There being no further business the Chairperson declared the meeting closed at 5:17pm.
