   That the minutes of the Creative Communities Sub-Committee meeting held on Friday, 25 May 2007 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

   There was no extraordinary business.

4. PUBLIC FORUM

   4.1. TARA JAHN-WERNER - project manager, business of arts seminars

   Tara Jahn-Werner, AUT, addressed the Sub-Committee regarding her application for a funding grant towards costs associated with holding Business of Arts seminars in 2008. This application was considered under item 5.

   1. That the Creative Communities Sub-Committee thank Tara Jahn-Werner, AUT, for her presentation regarding her application for a funding grant towards costs associated with holding Business of Arts seminars in 2008.
   2. That the Creative Communities Sub-Committee approve the recommendation of a grant to Tara Jahn-Werner, AUT, of $3363 towards the Business of Arts seminars, and that a charge of no less than five dollars per head for refreshments and associated costs be assessed to participants.

   3. That the Creative Communities Sub-Committee strongly recommends to Creative New Zealand that they re-examine the requirement on applicants to set up separate bank accounts for each project, as the Sub-Committee feels this is a serious and unnecessary imposition on community groups. Accountability for the funds can be satisfactorily monitored through account statements.
