  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    That the minutes of the Partnerships Committee meeting held on Monday, 9 May 2005 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

  3. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    There was no extraordinary business.

  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    There were no requests to speak in public forum.

  5. Top REPORTS REQUESTED/PENDING

    That the report of the Committee Manager dated 27 June 2005 be received.

    CARRIED

    Secretarial note: The Committee Manager tabled the minute of item 10 of the Committee's 21 March meeting noting the updated schedule of engagements for 2005. With the following amendments:

    • Meetings will occur at approximately 6 weekly intervals.
    • The Gay/Lesbian and Pacific Island breakfasts have taken place and the Asian Community breakfast will take place July 8.
    • The next meeting will be the Churches and Interfaith
    • The Disabled Community breakfast will take place in December to coincide with disability awareness week
    • That there will be a further meeting of the GLT group before the end of the year.
  6. Top HISTORY OF ENGAGEMENT WITH THE ASIAN NETWORK

    That the Council increase its involvement and collaboration with Auckland's Asian Network (TANI) and Asian communities to address opportunities and needs, as appropriate, noting current Council/TANI activities include:

    • Meetings for input into council plans
    • Advertising of network meetings in council publications
    • Information dissemination via council call centre and welcome packs
    • Support from community advisors as requested.

  7. Top INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FORUM

    That the report of the Education Policy Analyst dated 13 June 2005 be received.
