  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    4.1. JENNIFER SHENNAN - REGARDING THE BANABANS OF RABI ISLAND, FIJI

    1. That Jennifer Shennan be thanked for her presentation to the Committee on the Banaban people.
    2. That officers be requested to write a report addressing the issues raised by Ms Shennan in her report, specifically the existing relationship between the Banabans and Waiheke Island.

    That the report of the Committee Manager dated 13 March 2006 be received noting the verbal update to the committee on the disability work being carried out by Council a full report for which is mentioned in row 6 and noting the reports referred to in Rows 4 and 5 have a target date of May 2006.

    That Hamburg and Ho Chi Minh city be selected for further consideration as strategic alliances for Auckland, and the mayor and chairperson of the Partnerships Committee, or their representative(s), travel to Hamburg in 2006 to hold further discussions.

  7. Top UPDATE REPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS DIVISION

    1. That the report of the International Affairs Manager dated 1 March 2006 be received.
    2. That a Councillor of the Partnerships Committee or a representative attend the Sister Cities Conference in Wellington from 9-12 May 2006.
