MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PARTNERSHIPS COMMITTEE HELD ON MONDAY, 16 JULY 2007 AT 2.08 PM

1. APOLOGIES

   That apologies from Councillor Richard Northey, Councillor Scott Milne, Councillor Vern Walsh and Councillor Leila Boyle for absence on Council business, Councillor Cathy Casey and Councillor Abel for lateness and Councillor Leighton for illness, be accepted.

2. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

   That the minutes of the Partnerships Committee meeting held on Monday, 14 May 2007 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

   CARRIED

3. EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

   There was no extraordinary business.

4. PUBLIC FORUM

   4.1BRUCE KILMISTER - GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, TAKATAAPUI NETWORK

   1. That Bruce Kilmister, Lindsey Rea and Neil Denney be thanked for their presentation regarding the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Takataapui Network.
   2. That officers report to the Community Development and Equity Committee on progressing a feasibility study for a potential partnership to establish a facility for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Takataapui Network in association with other city organisations' needs.

   CARRIED

5. REPORTS REQUESTED PENDING

   That the report from the Democracy Advisor, dated 9 July 2007, outlining reports requested and pending be received.

   CARRIED

6. 2006/07 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME SUMMARY

   That the report of the Community Engagement Team Manager, dated June 2007, be received.

   CARRIED

7. ASIA PACIFIC CITIES SUMMIT

   That the Partnerships Committee nominates Councillor Northey to attend the Asia Pacific Cities Summit in Brisbane held 31 August to 3 September 2007.

   CARRIED

8. PACIFIC ISLANDS BOARD - AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND FUNDING AGREEMENT

   1. That the Partnerships Committee approve the Pacific Islands Board Auckland City Council Memorandum of Understanding and Funding Agreement.
   2. That the Partnerships Committee delegate the approval of the annual work programme to the Group Manager, Arts Community and Recreation policy.

   CARRIED

   There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 2.49 pm.
